7 December 2003 - we decided to make a little hiking tour to Mt. Dürrenstein. Next day we met Manfred Dorninger at the Grünloch sinkhole in order to install some new data logger.

The night we slept in tents near Duerrensteinalm.

The lonesome Herrenalm Alp in Winter. In Summer a men is living there and takes care of the cows.

 

 

First sight of the summit of Mt. Dürrenstein.

After a two hours walk from Herrenalm, we arrived at the summit. The weather is fantastic with views up to 200 kilometres.
