- The Grünloch-Experiment (Lunz am See, Austria)
- Meteorological Field Campaign about temperature inversions in Alpine basins
Pseudo vertical soundings of the basin atmosphere Sidewall pseudo-profiles are representative of the free atmosphere in the basin, so we can use Hobos to observe basin inversions all winter. |
|
Comparison between tethersonde data and the data
from the datalogger at the sidewalls.

During the night, in the stable basin atmosphere, it seems to be possible, to use the data
of the sidewalls to get information of the atmosphere.
The conclusion is, that you can use the Hobo data
to get information of the atmosphere, at any day with an temperature inversion.

Development of a cold air pool in October.
This pseudo profiles of the sidewalls are not
representative during transmission periods (radiation and convection), where you have a
lot of local effects.
